Music Therapy
WIA partners with Board-Certified Music Therapist, Shea Boyd, to offer affordable music therapy services to the Big Sky community. If you are interested in learning more about Shea’s services or working with her, please contact her directly.
Music therapy can benefit those who have experienced anxiety, stress, developmental delays, depression, trauma, ADHD, and much more. These areas can be addressed through musical experiences such as songwriting, progressive muscle relaxation, guided imagery, breathing exercises, lyric analysis, music making, and even learning an instrument. Goals of music therapy are often emotional, cognitive, physical, social, or communicative.
As part of our commitment to accessibility, Wellness in Action offers a scholarship program to help lower the cost of services. Partial support for up to 12 sessions per year is available based on funding. Please reach out to Shea to learn more about financial assistance and how to apply.
