WIA’s “Design In-Kind” Project 

A Volunteer Decorators Project for WIA’s Counseling Services Hub

Wellness in Action (WIA) now leases the entire building at 47855 Gallatin Road in Big Sky. With this expanded facility, WIA will be able to address the growing need for a variety of counseling services including large support groups, tele-counseling, and a studio apartment designated for a social worker. WIA’s Counseling Services Hub will be a resource for all Big Sky’s residents and workforce. 

WIA is seeking the community’s support to bring this therapeutic space to life by enlisting volunteers to redecorate our rooms into serene, inviting, therapeutic spaces.  If you are interested in redecorating a room as an individual or as part of a design team, please fill in the DESIGN IN-KIND Call For Entries form. The dimensions of each room to be redecorated are included on the Call For Entries form. 

All volunteers will be asked to commit to the full redecoration of the space that is designated for them.  This includes applying a fresh coat of paint, procuring furniture (used or new,) a floor covering, and any other décor to make the spaces both inviting and functional for counseling.  Therapeutic environments usually rely on muted color schemes, comfortable and ample seating, soft materials, interesting decorations that inspire reflection, and adjustable lighting.
