Initiated in 2022 to support the Big Sky Resort ski patrol team following the loss of a team member, the program has since expanded to be inclusive of other groups.

The Ski Patrol Counseling Program serves ski patrol and first responders by licensed counselors who have experience in trauma associated with outdoor pursuits. WIA offers discounted counseling services to Big Sky Resort Ski Patrol, Yellowstone Club Ski Patrol, Big Sky Search & Rescue, and other community First Responders. You pay what you can for counseling between $5-$30/session and Wellness In Action will cover the remainder.

Timothy Tate, LCPC

Timothy is the proud grandfather to three granddaughters, father to his son and daughter, and husband to his wife of over 40 years, Susan. In 1984 he established his private psychotherapy practice and continues to practice, specializing in archetypal studies, imaginative creativity, dream work, and rituals from Native and Celtic traditions. Timothy has served on local non-profit boards, was the founding Headmaster of Headwaters Academy, and was the wellness consultant for The North Face global athlete team.
