WIA defines wellbeing as a position in which an individual is able to develop and thrive. It includes having good mental and physical health, access to education, and healthy ways of managing stress.

Who can apply?
Those who live, work, or learn in Big Sky can apply for a Wellbeing & Enrichment Scholarship.

What can you apply for?
Programs eligible for scholarships include educational courses, occupational and physical therapies, mental health treatments, and cultural opportunities. WIA cannot provide scholarships for transportation costs, housing costs, or other living expenses.

How does it work?

All scholarships are received by the Programs Manager. Prior to review by the scholarship commitee, all identifying information is removed from the application.

Scholarships are reviewed monthly on the fourth Thursday of each month. Applications must be submitted the Monday before to be reviewed that month. (ex: for your application to be eligible for review at the meeting on Thursday October 26th, 2023 meeting, it must be submitted by Monday October 23th).

There is a monthly budget for scholarship awards and applications are reviewed using WIA’s 2023 sliding scale.

If you are issued a scholarship, WIA will make the payment directly to the program.

How often can you apply?

You can apply once a year per program up to twice a year for two programs. The maximum awarded amount to an individual for the same program is $2,000.
