WIA offers Enrichment Scholarships to Big Sky children from ages 5-17 for experiences that fall outside the traditional camp experience. Scholarships may be used for tutoring, leadership opportunities, adventure travel with youth organizations, music or art lessons, and many other life changing experiences. Scholarships are based upon financial need.
WIA has partnered with the National Honor Society at Lone Peak High School to offer the Harbor Kingston deWaard Scholarship. Harbor was loved by his Big Sky friends for his welcoming smile and his adventurous spirit. His love of the Big Sky community and his dedication to community service were an inspiration to all around him. These special scholarships may be used for community service experiences, adventure activities with youth organizations, and educational opportunities. Scholarships are offered to students age 5-17 and are based upon the applicant’s dedication to community service. Financial need will also be considered. Applicants age 8-13 will write an essay describing what community service is and what it means to them. Applicants age 5-8 may draw a picture or create a piece of artwork. Be sure to join us for Harbor’s Hero Run in June!
